Hailing from NEOK, ndl mous (needle mouse) took his name from the Kanji for “hedgehog” as a reference to the philosopher Schopenhauer. Growing up an introverted only child in a low income single parent house his passion for music stemmed from escapism and blossomed into a decade plus of musical experimentation. Having studied everything from rockabilly to dubstep he picked up the mic as a form of therapy and found a love for lyricism and poetic self expression in the process. Citing influences ranging from MF DOOM to Slayer his stylistic versatility is nearly as vast as his tastes while still remaining distinct. When asked about his goals in music his response was “I’d rather be influential than famous. I don’t care about playlisting, I just wanna be your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper or at least work through a few things in the attempt.”
